Still Active, and Still Small

Yes, LeechDrive is still running in 2026 — the order pages are live and the plan table is current. It is one of the smallest offerings we cover, and it is refreshingly upfront about that.

Storage Price Down Up Users/server
50 GB $5/mo 1 Gbps 300 Mbps 10–16
100 GB $7/mo 1 Gbps 300 Mbps 10–16
200 GB $10/mo 1 Gbps 300 Mbps 10–16

All plans include unmetered bandwidth, instant setup and ruTorrent with a 30+ plugin set. FXP is supported, so you can move data directly between two servers with a client like FlashFXP rather than pulling it home first.

They Publish Their Server Density — Credit Where It Is Due

LeechDrive states 10–16 users per server directly in the plan table. Almost nobody in this market volunteers that number, and it is the single most useful figure for predicting whether a cheap shared box will actually perform. Pulsed Media and SeedboxSolutions are the only other hosts we review who publish it. On a 16 GB machine shared 10–16 ways, you know roughly what you are buying.

Read the Public-Tracker Footnote Before You Buy

The plan table advertises 300 Mbps upload and marks public trackers as allowed. The footnote qualifies both: on public trackers, support is “limited” and upload is capped at 1 MB/s — 8 Mbps — until you reach a 1.0 ratio.

That is an anti-leeching measure and a defensible one; plenty of hosts do something similar. But the practical effect is worth spelling out: if public trackers are your use case, your first stretch on the box runs at roughly 1/37th of the advertised upload speed, and seeding back a 20 GB torrent at 8 Mbps takes the better part of six hours of continuous upload. Private-tracker users are unaffected.

The Two Real Drawbacks

The refund window is 24 hours. That is the shortest of any host we review — the norm in this market is 7 days, and Pulsed Media offers 14. It also applies only to your first payment on your first service. One day is not long enough to test a seedbox properly: you would need to provision it, load real data and watch it under load, all inside a single day.

The hardware is old. The Xeon E3-1220v2 is an Ivy Bridge part from 2012. For seeding and file transfer, CPU is rarely the bottleneck and this is entirely adequate; but it will not transcode meaningfully, so treat this as a seeding and storage box rather than a media server. There is no GPU option — see our Cloudboxes review if transcoding is what you need.

Who It Is For

The 50 GB plan at $5 is a genuinely sensible way to keep a handful of private-tracker torrents seeding 24/7 without leaving a home machine on. That is the job this does well, and at that price the small disk is the point rather than a flaw.

It is the wrong choice if you want a media library (200 GB is the ceiling), if you need Plex transcoding, or if you are primarily on public trackers and will spend your first weeks throttled. For any of those, start with our best seedbox roundup.

Verdict: 6/10

A small, honest, still-running budget host that tells you its server density and its tracker rules instead of hiding them — which counts for a lot in a market full of “unlimited everything” claims. The 24-hour refund window and decade-old hardware keep the score modest, and the public-tracker throttle needs to be read before ordering rather than discovered afterwards. Within its limits it does what it says.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is LeechDrive still active in 2026?

Yes. As of August 2026 the site and order pages are live, with current plans at $5, $7 and $10 per month for 50 GB, 100 GB and 200 GB.

Does LeechDrive allow public trackers?

Yes, with two caveats they state openly: support for public trackers is limited, and upload is throttled to 1 MB/s (8 Mbps) until your account reaches a 1.0 ratio. Private trackers are not affected.

What is LeechDrive’s refund policy?

A 24-hour refund period, applying only to your first payment on your first service. It is the shortest window of any host we review.

How many users share a LeechDrive server?

Between 10 and 16, which they publish directly on the plan table — a level of transparency very few seedbox hosts offer.
